Concrete Pumping
Along with all the supplies and tools available, VLCS also offers services unique to our industry. Concrete pumping, and crane service are both part of VLCS.
Both the Putzmeister 36-meter and 24-meter concrete pumps are available, and no job is too big or too small. Both pumps are Putzmeister "Z Booms" for better maneuverability on your job site. Along with the convenience of overhead pumping, we have additional line and hose when a boom isn't an option.

Our truck mounted Crane is a National 600D series crane with 85 feet of extendable boom. This is ideal for setting trusses, beams, or anything that requires the additional reach.

Detailing
aSa CAD Detailing Station
VLCS can Service all your rebar needs starting with detailed placement drawings for the reinforcing steel. Drawings ensure proper fabrication, as well as proper placement of the steel once it's on your jobsite. VLCS uses MicroStation®, aSa CAD/Detailing software to create placing drawings with speed and accuracy. Bar details taken off from the drawings are instantly available to aSa Bar List, this means tags can be printed and steel can be fabricated quickly and efficiently. Along with speed and accuracy aSa Bar List gives the detailer the tools to create formal, sorted, weighted, and accumulated bar lists, bar bend schedules, and placing lists with field placement instructions and notes.
VLCS has recently added a new tagging system utilizing a Zebra 4M+ direct thermal transfer printer. The new tags are fade resistant, more durable, and easier to read in the field. In addition, bar codes can be utilized during fabrication, thus speeding up efficiency and accuracy.
Fabrication
Van Laan Construction Supply Fabrication Line is located ½ mile from the main sales office on 68th street. It encompasses approximately 12 acres of land for production, inventory and fabricated reinforcing steel for projects waiting to be shipped.
With one of the largest stock of reinforcing steel in Western Michigan, combined with our high capacity shearline, series of bending machines and experienced fabricators, VLCS is sure to be able to fulfill your requirements with a high degree of accuracy.

VLCS utilizes a KRB H4000 hydraulic shear, the largest available from KRB.

Magna Bender
With the recent addition of the Magna Bender by KRB, we are able to bend multiple direction bends with precise angles without the need to invert or rotate the bars, with fully automated operation capacity.

Delivery
To complete our line of products, VLCS offers a delivery service. From a 1-ton pickup with a lift gate to a 24 ton 48 foot tractor-trailer, we can get what you ordered, to your site when you want it. For your convenience we also have the ability to dump up to 20 tons so you don't have to be on site at the time of delivery. If it's a small item, we ship UPS daily from our office.
